Vial of Venus was founded with the key goal of making high quality, consciously sourced crystals and spiritual tools easily accessible and affordable. To this day, I am dedicated to my mission! 

The backstory to making Vial of Venus come to life and me, Beth, the one woman show behind this shop. Let’s start at the beginning, I have collected crystals since a very early age, around 8 or 9, so that being to my current age I’ve had crystals in my life for over 10 years. Learning, researching, reading, hunting, collecting, working with these magic gifts from Mother Nature has really made me into the person I am today. I honestly can’t imagine a reality without me and them!

It all started from my mum, who always had a few in her bedroom and looked after them. She had friends who were crystal and reiki healers, so they would lend me books & gift me my very first crystals. Also there used to be this small metaphysical shop in my local town my mum would take me to; I’ve been collecting them and working with my own ones since then. They really were the beginning stepping stones (get it ;) ) for me into spirituality and all things mystic. Looking back, I properly only opened up to it in small amounts over the years, and as I got older I was more open and able to grasp it all and make sense about the fact that this ideology of the world was very much real. I mean before when I was younger I fed into and liked the idea of collecting pretty ‘rocks’ that my mum would say ‘holds a piece of magic if you believe’ , to becoming in my teen years and truly seeing what she meant. Then into adulthood I grew and matured, I now, more than ever, definitely feel my crystals have grew with me, and the beliefs which aided me into the path I’ve took today, to where I am owning Vial of Venus.

I experienced a lot of loss and struggles with my mental health over the years, all of which I feel as well bounded together and helped me seek help/healing with crystals as well as some troubling environments and experiences growing up. But hey we all have our demons and past, the good in it is knowing it makes you who you are and you always strive for a better tomorrow. I had my first big spiritual awakening/journey at age 19 turning 20. So from that and crystals, looking into manifestation, starting spiritual growth, healing, shadow work, divination work etc steamed my interest into witchcraft, which i’ve been doing for several years now.

I’ve always said I wanted to help others when growing up, and i never thought it would be in such a way I could wholeheartedly enjoy and am passionate about. So how did I get from that to Vial of Venus becoming real? Well, I was actually working as a tarot reader throughout lockdown, which tied into the helping people, but it would leave me so drained and realistically wasn’t what I wanted to do. I wanted to do more, so what was my other love? Crystals!! What couldn’t I find locally? Crystals! What couldn’t I find affordable, good high quality and guaranteed sustainably sourced online? Crystals!! 

So I decided to do it myself like deep down I always dreamt of doing, being that 10yr old girl in the crystal shop thinking this will be me, this is it. So I saved all the money I could from tarot and over the first covid-19 lockdown 2020 in the U.K. (where I’m based and yes i know we wish we could all forget that time), the idea arose for Vial of Venus to come alive. Which from then took almost a year of research, planning plus a lot of trial and error. To be honest the opening was meant to be later in the year but i was too excited and rather decided to start small! Vial of Venus first opened on Depop on 4th January 2021. You can still find me and find my first products and reviews over the first months of opening still on Depop with the username @vialofvenus. Which even with the fact i started small and i managed to grow rather quickly in more stock, support, orders and love from all you amazing angels who have seen my journey. So in July of that year with currently, 12k on tiktok and 2k on insta it was time i moved to my own bigger and better website. Which you’re reading this all on now.
